Apple today rolled out a new firmware update for the 3rd
generation AirPods, version 6A321. Typically, Apple distinguishes firmware
releases between different AirPods models and this time is no exception as all
other AirPods models did not receive an updated firmware version yet. Let’s

How to check your current firmware version for your
AirPods device
You can easily check the current firmware version of your
AirPods / AirPods Pro by following the below steps on iOS 16/17 or iPadOS
16/17:
- Connect
your AirPods to your iPhone or iPad
- Go
to “Settings”
- Find
and select your AirPods (for example, "9TechEleven’s AirPods
Pro").
- Scroll
down to “Version” and check your current Firmware version.
