This advanced hinge mechanism not only allows for the slimmer profile but also significantly minimizes the visible crease on the main display—a long-standing aesthetic concern for foldable users. Samsung states the hinge's "multi-rail structure" more effectively disperses stress, enhancing the device's overall durability.

Expansive and Brilliant Displays

The Z Fold 7's displays have also received a notable upgrade. The main Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen is now 11 percent larger, expanding to a tablet-like 8 inches with a crisp 2184 x 1968 resolution. It’s also significantly brighter, capable of reaching a dazzling 2,600 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even in direct sunlight. The cover screen gets a similar treatment, growing to a more usable 6.5 inches with a comfortable 21:9 aspect ratio.⁸ Both displays are protected by Corning's latest Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, offering enhanced scratch and drop resistance.
